Wind Powered Electricity for Schools from the Evance R9000 Wind Turbine
Every school in the UK should seriously consider the merits of installing a small wind turbine. The UK Government’s new Feed-in Tariffs (FITs), which came into effect for Great Britain on 1st April 2010, will reward those who generate their own electricity from renewable or low carbon sources such as wind turbines.
Those who install a wind turbine will now benefit from the new tariff in three ways; lower energy bills, payments from electricity they feed back into the grid, and further payment from the FIT for all the energy they generate.
Under the Microgeneration Certification Scheme(MCS) Evance customers are eligible for Feed-in Tariffs.
Wind Turbine Power cost effective and small in size
Schools are often successful in securing additional funding from The National Lottery, utility companies and other sources. Many local councils will often lay the foundations free of charge, reducing costs still further.
Wind Turbine Power cost effective and small in size
The Evance R9000 is the perfect size of turbine for many schools as it will make a significant reduction to electricity costs. Further, wind turbines help to support and give tangible meaning to many areas of the national curriculum, particularly in maths and science. An R9000 will contribute to the sense of identity and individuality of a school, communicating a clear commitment to environmental responsibility.
Efficient Wind Turbine Power in accordance with BS EN 61400
Designed in accordance with BS EN 61400 Part 2 with industry leading analysis and rigorous testing, the R9000 is not only the most efficient but also the safest small wind turbine available. Playing fields provide ideal locations for schools and colleges.
