Evance Wind Turbine to demonstrate renewable energy at

23rd July 2010
Press Release

The Evance R9000 wind turbine, ordered by the Municipality of Skive, will be initially installed at an International Scout Camp as part of a demonstration for renewable energy.

This camp, officially known as “Scout Explorer Event  20:10”, or “SEE 20:10”, which is to be held near the coastal town of Skive in North West Denmark this summer, is estimated to be attended by over 15,000 scouts and leaders from around the World.

As Denmark is a leading country in the production of renewable energy, the organisers see this event as an opportunity to demonstrate renewable energy solutions to educate the next generation in looking after the environment.

The Evance R9000 5kW wind turbine will be installed by CIRKEL Energi, Evance’s distributor and certified installer in Scandinavia. After the event, the turbine will be moved and installed in the village of Lihme to supply power to a local primary school, as well as for educational purposes.

“The Evance R9000 was the obvious answer to the call for an efficient and reliable wind turbine that not only represents eco-awareness but also provides for an economically viable solution” commented Kim Bilskov, Sales Director at CIRKEL Energi. “We recently installed the turbine and are already talking to the Municipality of Skive regarding a second Evance turbine to be installed at another school in the district”.
