Evance is pleased to be included in the first revision of the MCS Transition List of small wind turbines and therefore continues to be eligible for the UK Government’s Feed-in Tariff.

The MCS certification, which has replaced the Clear Skies scheme in the UK, gives consumers a guarantee that the products listed have conformed and been rigorously tested against the BWEA Small Wind Turbine Performance and Safety Standard.

“We welcome the introduction of this scheme as we believe it will improve standards across the industry. We have been working with an independent certification body for over a year to carry out comprehensive testing at our fully calibrated facilities, as key features of Evance products are quality and reliability,” stated Andrew Tasker, Product Director for Evance.

“We were excited to be one of the first manufacturers to submit product documentation which satisfied both Phase 1 and 2 of the MCS Transition Arrangements. This included an independently verified Power Curve, Safety & Function test report and customer declaration,” continued Tasker.  “We have also completed the Factory Control Process assessment, as we are committed to achieving the full MCS award as soon as possible.”
